The general municipal election is conducted each year on the first Saturday in May.
Information is posted related to upcoming elections by the second week in January of each year.
May 6, 2017 General and Special Election
The deadline to file for a place on the May 6, 2017 General and Special Election is Friday, February 17, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. The following positions are up for election:
Mayor and two Councilmembers, 2 year term
May 6, 2017 City of Justin SPECIAL Election cancelled due to unopposed candidates
At the March 6, 2017 Justin City Council meeting, Council cancelled the SPECIAL election by approving Ordinance 622-17, and the Order of Cancellation. A single candidate filed to be on the ballot for the one year, unexpired term unopposed.
At a future meeting after the General Elections are held, during a Regular City Council meeting, the following candidate will be declared elected to office, and issued a certificate of election:
Lynn Crites, Council member, unexpired term, 1 year remaining
Councilmember, 1 year term
